Washify was founded by a car wash owner who saw a need in the industry for an integrated POS and marketing system that would not only help car wash owners like himself attract new business, but also get current customers to wash with them more often.
In 2010 Adam Korngold, owner of Waves Car Wash in Boston, set out to build an integrated Point-of-Sale system utilizing leading edge technologies that make it possible to harness the power of targeted email marketing, capitalize on e-commerce opportunities such as the ability to sell gift cards and wash books online, and offer car wash owners an efficient way to build and maintain a robust unlimited program.
Based on his personal experience and success at his own car wash, Adam is convinced now more than ever that in order to run a successful car wash in today’s competitive environment you need to take advantage of modern marketing tools–such as an integrated smartphone app, email marketing, texting, and a user friendly website. This revelation was born out of frustration that many of the existing car wash POS systems did not utilize current technologies that are necessary to really help car wash owners grow their business and increase profits.
After two years of designing and developing the program, Adam launched Washify POS and Marketing System at his car wash in September 2012. Today, Washify is rapidly growing, and has built up a large customer base in just three years. Washify has now expanded its product line and now offers both a state-of-the-art pay station as well as an attended POS terminal.
